| Description: This molding process is similar in concept to green sand molding. However, The resin-coated sand is blown into a cast iron mold. Heat is used to initiate a chemical reaction that bonds the sand, producing a very hard and stable mold. After the metal is poured into the mold, the sand shell is removed and the casting is cleaned and finished for shipment. Metals poured: Most castable metals. Size Range: Normally a maximum of 550 square inches of usable mold area. Depends on the equipment at each foundry. Tolerances: +/- .010"/in Draft Requirements: 1/2-3 Deg.
