Description:
Metal powders are
blended to achieve the desired
mechanical or physical properties.
This powder is then fed into a
punch and a die set which is in a
hydraulic, mechanical or electric
press. The powder is then
compacted to the desired shape
and density. Once the part is
ejected from the die, it moves to
the sintering furnace. The parts
are then heated to 2000-2300
degrees F, which causes a
metallurgical bond to take place
and gives the part its strength.

and non-ferrous materials
can be formed.
Size Range:
Vast majority
of P/M is in the ounces
to under 5 pound range.
Tolerances:
+/_ .002"/in can be
held in certain configurations.
